Schanelle Denton's passions include travel, performance, , comedy, the ocean, animals and adventure.

Schanelle's thirst for adventures and curiosity has created a colourful resume; from teaching on film sets in Rwanda to hosting game shows in Alaska, Fiji, Hawaii and many other incredible cruise ship destinations. Growing up Schanelle was an over achiever , she obtained  her full academic colours , a diploma in exercise science and a   degree in journalism and Film at the University of Johannesburg, while simultaneously producing radio shows for UJFM and studying acting and drama at the civic theatre.


Entering the Spotlight

In 2006 Schanelle became the quirky DSTV Go Lounge presenter, and later earned the spot presenting on Channel O, while doing voice over work for Primedia, presenting corporate videos for Replay Television and MC hosting live events for Sound Media and various events in Seychelles. In 2009 she landed an acting role; playing a part as a character Jenny in the popular South African soapie Generations. To add to her presenting repertoire  Schanelle hosted  "SuperSquash"- A Super Sport Magazine Show and an interactive chat show on Vuzu TV. 

In 2008 Schanelle went behind the scenes with Don’t Look Down Productions editing content for  Big Brother Africa III online highlights  as well as working as a production manager on various films and commercials.

Schanelle has supported various charities, including Breast Cancer Awareness, RSPCA and Little Eden Charity.

In 2010 to 2011 Schanelle worked behind the scenes and played a role in the HBO miniseries "Strike Back 2" and in the Pathe International Film  "Africa United" .

2011 Schanelle left South Africa to explore Australia ,landed an assistant director role for part of an Australian  documentary  Zach's Ceremony for Post Box Productions and is now working for Sydney's  highest rating breakfast show Sunrise.
